Is this the future we were dreaming of?

Land held in common, housing built and governed by the people who live in it, decisions made collectively. These places already exist - quietly, imperfectly, without waiting for permission. This project treats them not as proof that things could be different, but as evidence that they already are.

Utopia here is a method, not a promise.

Before building community, you have to understand what community actually is. Not a shared postcode or a common interest. The Greek word krisis - the root of crisis - means the opposite of what we’ve made it: not something that happens to us, passive and imposed, but a tipping point, a moment of discernment, of active decision. Something lived through. Chosen through.

A community might simply be a group of people who decide to respond to something together. The question isn’t whether another way of living is possible. It’s why we keep pretending it isn’t.
